The foundations of the enterprise were laid in 1889, when there was a rudimentary printing and dyeing shop, the property of HAJTAJER PAUL, with two workers and headquarters on Mircea cel Bâtrăn street no. 8-10 in Satu Mare. The son of the owner HAJTAJER IULIU, in the years 1926-1927 he purchased 17 pieces from Germany. lace knitting machines. The lace products, being in great demand, brought great benefits to the patron, which made him purchase new machines, the number of machines reaching 73 pieces.
In 1937, the number of machines increased to 114 pcs., the production of braids and narrow ribbon hems diversified, the number of workers reaching 93, who worked in three shifts. During the Second World War, part of the machines, due to the market and the economic situation, were stationed, following in 1948 the nationalization and the factory was named “SOLIDARITY” Satu Mare. During this period, all the existing machines were put into operation and other machines were brought from other localities.
In the period 1951-1953, the new enterprise was built on the current site, Botizului str. with manufacturing halls, technical-social annexes, central heating, water supply, being the first new industrial enterprise in Satu Mare. Permanent investments were made on the profit of lace, stiff braids, year after year increasing the number of machines, expanding the production spaces.
With the revolution of December 1989, the company goes through a commercial decline, due to the abolition of centralization, losing sales markets.
On the basis of H.G. no. 1272/08.12.1990 regarding the establishment of joint-stock companies in industry, SC DANTEX SA was established by taking over the entire patrimony of the upholstery company “SOLIDARITATEA” Satu Mare, with the Romanian State as the sole shareholder.

(source)
